Family Focused Village Development Programme

LITDS, in partnership with FFVDP, empowers tribal communities through leadership development, education, livelihood enhancement, health and hygiene initiatives, and community-driven development programs, fostering sustainable growth and self-reliance.

About FFVDP

Family Focused Village Development Programme (FFVDP) is a holistic rural development initiative dedicated to empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities, particularly Adivasi (tribal) and Dalit families, across Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu. Guided by the values of unity, social justice, and human dignity, FFVDP works to build strong, self-sustaining communities capable of claiming their rights and shaping their own future. The programme impacts thousands of families in rural villages through an integrated approach that focuses on six key areas: Health & Household Care, Leadership Development, Family & Community Cohesion, Education, Livelihood Enhancement, and Financial Empowerment. Originating from a decade-long innovation process supported by a Swiss charitable foundation and implemented through local NGO partners, FFVDP promotes sustainable development through community participation, capacity building, and long-term empowerment. Its mission is to restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and create lasting positive change among India's most disadvantaged rural communities.

The programme focuses on empowering families and communities to become self-reliant and sustainable.

FFVDP & LITDS Partnership

Loyola Integrated Tribal Development Society (LITDS), in collaboration with the Family Focused Village Development Programme (FFVDP), is implementing holistic development initiatives in poor and marginalized tribal villages. The partnership focuses on empowering tribal families through leadership development, quality education, health and hygiene promotion, livelihood enhancement, family and community cohesion, and financial empowerment. Guided by the principles of social justice, human dignity, and community participation, LITDS works closely with tribal communities to strengthen their capacities, improve their quality of life, and promote self-reliance. Through a family-centered and community-driven approach, the programme addresses the root causes of poverty and exclusion, enabling vulnerable families to access opportunities, claim their rights, and build sustainable futures. Together, LITDS and FFVDP are transforming tribal villages into stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities by fostering inclusive development and long-term social change.

Focus Areas

📚

Education

FFVDP, in collaboration with LITDS, promotes quality education among tribal children through After School Study Centres (ASSCs), which provide academic support and tutoring in remote villages. The programme also offers scholarships to financially disadvantaged tribal students for higher education and organizes educational exposure visits to broaden their knowledge, confidence, and future aspirations.

👨‍💼

Leadership

FFVDP, in collaboration with LITDS, focuses on developing strong leadership skills among tribal youth and community members through training programs, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives that promote active participation in local governance and decision-making processes.

🌾

Livelihood

FFVDP, in collaboration with LITDS, promotes sustainable livelihoods among tribal families through debt management awareness programmes, organic farming initiatives, and access to financial support. The programme provides loans and supports income-generating activities such as tent equipment services, oil engines for agriculture, garment shops, paper plate manufacturing units, and brick-making machines.
